Gap to shutter a third of US stores, expand globally
Thu Oct 13, 2011
10tacle: My husband has his MBA. When he graduated in 2006, despite his degree and business experience, he couldn't get a job. He has since joined the Navy and earned a 2nd Master's in Health Admin. Point being, jobs aren't so easy to come by just because you have a certain Master's Degree.
Urine doesn't ease jellyfish stings, after all
Fri Jul 22, 2011
Preparation H works too; we keep it in our beach bag. It's what the lifeguard put on my son after he was stung(but not before we tried the urine first!)
Rick Scott wins in Fla.; LePage wins in Maine
Wed Nov 3, 2010
Totally agree. I voted against him, but too many Floridians see that (R) next to his name and check the box without knowing the full story of Rick Scott. I, too, was unfortunate enough to work for a hospital under his "leadership" and knew that the state of FL deserved better.
Paladino: I didn't say gays were 'dysfunctional'
Mon Oct 11, 2010
"Carl Paladino is simply expressing the views that he holds in his heart as a Catholic,” Mr. Caputo said in a telephone interview."(from original article)
Tea party Republican opens clear Fla. lead
Wed Sep 15, 2010
I live in Florida. I voted for Crist as Gov and I will vote for him for Senator. As a disclaimer, I'm neither Republican or Democrat.
Florida's GOP launches new attack on Crist
Sat Sep 11, 2010
Oh my, a Gator and a Seminiole agreeing on something! And I lived around the corner from the Thrasher-Horne and couldn't agree more. Crist has actually done a good job representing Florida, not just Republican Florida. He'll have my vote in Nov.
Florida's GOP launches new attack on Crist
Sat Sep 11, 2010
Quick question here: How many of you are from FLorida? How many of you have been represented by Crist? How many of you are just bashing him because he was a Republican who(insert gasp and mouth dropping open here) acted in a bipartisan manner?
For Gulf tourism, problem is perception — not oil
Sun Aug 22, 2010
You are wrong to say that the Florida coast was not hit by oil. I live off Pensacola Beach, where tar balls and tar patties have been washing ashore since July and oil is intermixed in the sand. I have pictures if you need proof.
For Gulf tourism, problem is perception — not oil
Sun Aug 22, 2010
I would beg to differ with your analogy. I live on Pensacola Beach; we were there this morning and there were still "tar patties" floating ashore and oil present when you dig in the sand. Just because the oil isn't flowing anymore, it doesn't mean that it is gone.
Addicted docs put patients in peril
Thu Jun 24, 2010
An impaired physician is still impaired regardless of how "high functioning" they are; they still have a drug habit which no matter how "high functioning" they are impairs their judgement to practice medicine just as it impairs their ability to drive a vehicle.
